Your tasks

  • Be responsible for establishing the mission success framework for space projects and for planning, executing and surveilling the project related mission success activities
  • Ensure mission success by implementing related aspects in all system engineering and AIT processes in the project
  • Contribute to the mission success with relevant system engineering analyses (e.g. FMECA, FDIR, RAMS)
  • Ensure adequate qualification of all project hardware
  • Ensure that supplier hardware constitutes no risk for mission success
  • Find issues endangering mission success and contribute to their efficient solution with a thorough understanding of the complete system
  • Be integral part of diverse project teams of highly skilled experts from different space engineering and physics fields
  • Interface with customers and suppliers regarding all matters relevant for mission success

Your skills and experience

  • Degree in Engineering with several years of working experience in a System Engineering / Mission Success or Product/Quality Assurance environment
  • Knowledge of all aspects of space project life cycle from design development and procurement to AIT
  • Intimate knowledge of European and international Space Standards (ECSS, ESCC, NASA)
  • Experience in mission success related system engineering analyses would be an asset
  • Experience in EEE parts quality would be useful
  • Knowledge in the area of Materials and Processes (DML, DPL, DMPL) would be helpful
  • Fluent in English – good knowledge of German would be a definite advantage
  • Team player, good organisation and communication skills
