Due to our increased engagement in the area of laser-optical instruments and quantum technology, we are hiring new employees to strengthen our team in the Photonics Engineering department.

Your tasks

  • Design, analyze, and build cutting edge (electro-)optical systems for space
  • Work with engineers across the company to develop and improve opto-mechanical and electro-optical designs
  • Procure (designed) hardware
  • Define and lead testing of optical experiments
  • Participate in verification testing, including environmental qualification, performance characterization, and reliability testing
  • Document design and test activities

Your skills and experience

  • Hands-on experience in optical design or system design, integration, and test of lasers or electro-optical systems
  • A Master’s degree or PhD in Physics, Optoelectronics or equivalent
  • Sound knowledge of optic, electro-optics, lasers, optics testing / troubleshooting techniques
  • Proficiency with electronic and/or optical analysis tools
  • Hands-on experience with testing
  • Experience with developments for space is beneficial
  • Capable of working independently and in an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to take initiative and communicate effectively
