Strengthen our growing team in the area of laser interferometric units.
Your tasks
- Serve as the primary responsible and direct point of contact for the subcontractor assigned to units of a laser interferometric instrument
- Coordinate, implement, and monitor the subcontractor’s development activities
- Conduct technical assessments and, if necessary, perform shadow engineering
- Collaborate with engineers across the company as part of the payload team
- Negotiate change requests and manage contract change notices
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements regarding quality, cost, and schedule
- Report regularly to the project manager
- Organize and lead technical and project reviews
Your skills and experience
- Experience in development projects for space applications
- Strong understanding of lasers and electro-optical systems
- Able to work independently as well as within interdisciplinary teams
- Proven experience in project planning
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and foster a culture of inclusion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in German is an asset
- Master’s degree or PhD in Physics, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline
- Willingness and ability to travel within Europe on short notice
