Due to our increased engagement in the area of laser-optical instruments and quantum technology, we are hiring new employees to strengthen our team in the Photonics Engineering department.
Your tasks
- Acting as main responsible and direct point of contact for a subcontractor subcontracted for (electro-)optical units
- Coordinate, implement and monitor of subcontractor development including
- Technical assessment and potential shadow engineering activities
- Work with engineers across the company, be part of the payload team
- Negotiate Change Requests, implement Contract Change Notice
- Ensure contract compliance with regard to quality, cost and schedule
- Report to project manager
- Organize and lead reviews
Your skills and experience
- Experience with developments for space
- Good understanding of lasers or electro-optical systems
- Capable of working independently and in an interdisciplinary team
- Experience with planning project
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Excellent writing and communications skills in English, German in an assert
- A Master’s degree or PhD in Physics, Electronics, or an engineering discipline
- Ability to travel within Europe on short notice
