Years of recognition

The years after 2014 were mostly years of earning recognition.

The first direct ESA contract was completed with the High Stability Laser EBB, which was for STI the first step towards being recognised in the ESA instruments world.

In 2015, also the Merlin Frequency Reference Unit Development began with Airbus as customer.

2016 Wolfgang Pitz became CEO of the company - this year was the year of gravity for STI: GRACE FO LRI was delivered. Finally the LRI was launched in 2018 and it performed quite well in orbit.

2017 was the year of ornithology for STI. Or should have been. The ICARUS Payload was delivered to Max Planck and launched to the ISS in 2018. Unfortunately, there was a problem with a power supply we bought in St. Petersburg, so a replacement unit had to be launched later.
