SCA is a high-reliable, high-performance (~74 MIPS) and compact avionics unit for

  • Communication and data handling (LEON3FT) in SCOC3
  • Attitude & Orbit control
  • Thermal control
  • HK/Status acquisition, monitoring, storage
  • Power generation, storage and distr.
  • FDIR handling (partially autonomous)

Further features are:

  • CAN-bus as inter./extern. communication bus
  • Central DC/CD for SCA internal supply; distributed POL
  • PCDE functions split in SAR and PDU Modules; one redundant controller handles the PCDE functions
  • OBC functions split in SPC and IO modules
  • SPC Modules are redundant with cross-coupling
  • IO Modules are independent and contain its independent controller and POL supplies
